What is a virtual number for WeChat?

A virtual number for WeChat is a real mobile number you rent online to receive one WeChat verification code by SMS, without a SIM card. On VSIM you choose the country, the number appears on your order page, the code shows up there, and the order closes. If no code arrives before the timer ends, the full price returns to your balance.

Why does WeChat ask a friend to scan a QR code?

WeChat's help centre says sign-up may need security verification: a nearby friend or another WeChat user scans a QR code, or you verify with a bank card or WeChat Pay. If that fails you can submit a feedback form, answered within 3 working days.

Can I use WeChat without a linked mobile number?

WeChat now asks accounts registered by email or other platforms to link a mobile number, and warns that without one you may not be able to log in. Set a password so you can still log in after the rented number is gone.

How many tries does a WeChat code usually take?

What happens if the WeChat code does not arrive?
