What is a virtual number for Microsoft?

A virtual number for Microsoft is a real mobile number you rent online to receive one Microsoft verification code by SMS, without a SIM card. On VSIM you choose the country, the number appears on your order page, the code shows up there, and the order closes. If no code arrives before the timer ends, the full price returns to your balance.

Which country is best for Microsoft verification today?

Lithuania has the best measured odds right now: 90% of recent orders got the code, for $0.55. In all, 21 countries have a measured Microsoft rate, and 5 of them deliver 50% or more. Odds are refreshed every 15 minutes.

How much does a Microsoft virtual number cost?

Today Microsoft numbers cost from $0.07 to $1.15 across 139 countries, and half of them cost $0.24 or less. You pay only for the number that receives the code: every number that does not is refunded in full.

If failed numbers are refunded, what does a low rate cost me?

Time. Each number waits about 15 minutes for its code. A country that delivers 50% needs two tries on average; one that delivers 5% needs twenty, which can mean hours of waiting. That is why this page ranks countries by odds first and price second.

Why does Microsoft say it cannot send a text message to my number?

Microsoft's help centre says VoIP numbers cannot be used to sign in or get codes. It can also refuse after too many requests or unusual activity. Cancel for a refund and try a route with good Microsoft odds.

What happens if I lose the only number on my Microsoft account?

Microsoft says losing every way to verify can mean a 30-day wait to get back in. Add two email addresses and the Authenticator app as soon as you sign in, and change security info gradually, since changing it all at once can also restrict the account for 30 days.

How many tries does a Microsoft code usually take?

In our own records, 13 buyers ordered Microsoft numbers. 2 got a code on their first order, 2 on their second or third, 0 needed four or more, and 9 never got one. Choosing a country with high odds is the single biggest difference.

What happens if the Microsoft code does not arrive?

The order closes when its timer ends, about 15 minutes in our tests and never more than 20, and the full price returns to your VSIM balance automatically. You can also cancel earlier yourself, as long as no SMS has arrived.

Can I keep the number for Microsoft after the code?

No. A one-code number is released when the order closes, so a later Microsoft code sent to it cannot reach you. If you need a number you keep, see VSIM permanent numbers, or add an email and a password to the account as soon as you are in.
