What is a virtual number for Telegram?

A virtual number for Telegram is a real mobile number you rent online to receive one Telegram verification code by SMS, without a SIM card. On VSIM you choose the country, the number appears on your order page, the code shows up there, and the order closes. If no code arrives before the timer ends, the full price returns to your balance.

If failed numbers are refunded, what does a low rate cost me?

Time. Each number waits about 15 minutes for its code. A country that delivers 50% needs two tries on average; one that delivers 5% needs twenty, which can mean hours of waiting. That is why this page ranks countries by odds first and price second.

Can I sign up for Telegram without a phone number?

Not with an ordinary account: Telegram asks for a phone number at sign-up. The other route is an anonymous +888 number bought on Fragment, a blockchain marketplace, which costs far more than a one-code rental. For a single sign-up, a rented number that receives one SMS code is the cheaper option.

Will I lose my Telegram account when the rented number expires?

Not as long as you stay logged in and protect the account. Add a login email and a two-step verification password in Settings, Privacy and Security. If you log out later, Telegram can send the code to that email instead of the old number.

Why do I get "too many attempts" on Telegram?

Telegram limits how many codes one number can ask for. If the limit is hit, the number gets no further SMS for a while. Request the code once per order, and if nothing arrives, cancel and order a new number rather than pressing resend.

How many tries does a Telegram code usually take?

In our own records, 190 buyers ordered Telegram numbers. 20 got a code on their first order, 29 on their second or third, 54 needed four or more, and 87 never got one. Choosing a country with high odds is the single biggest difference.

What happens if the Telegram code does not arrive?

The order closes when its timer ends, about 15 minutes in our tests and never more than 20, and the full price returns to your VSIM balance automatically. You can also cancel earlier yourself, as long as no SMS has arrived.

Can I keep the number for Telegram after the code?

No. A one-code number is released when the order closes, so a later Telegram code sent to it cannot reach you. If you need a number you keep, see VSIM permanent numbers, or add an email and a password to the account as soon as you are in.
